Directions to Madeira Park are simple and the town is walking distance away from our B&B.  It has all the amenities, including a grocery store, bank, pharmacy and Government liquor store.

Directions From the South (Vancouver)

Board the ferry to Langdale at Horseshoe Bay in North Vancouver. The minute you board, you’ll feel like you’re about to enter another world. The scenic sail around How Sound islands will take about 45 minutes.

  • From Langdale you may wish to make the 5 minute drive to explore historic Gibson’s Landing, but either way, you will stay on the Sunshine Coast Highway (#101) and proceed North through the town of Sechelt and on to Pender Harbour – about a one hour drive in total, with beautiful forested coastal views.
  • Proceed past the Madeira Park turnoff.   You’ll find us just past the Pender Harbour Hotel and the Sunshine Coast Resort.  Take a left at the “No Thru Road” sign (Narrows Road), and another left at the next “No Thru Road” sign (Wesjac Road).
  • Proceed to the end of the road;  Madeira Park Bed and Breakfast is on your right.

Note that after passing RONA Hardware on your right, you will come to Lily Lake on your left. Watch for the turtle crossing sign. In warm weather, the endangered Western Painted Turtle and their new-born attempt to cross the highway from their nesting grounds to or from the lake. These turtles will attempt to cross the road anywhere there is a nearby lake (I guess they can’t read the directions!) so keep an eye out anywhere near fresh water. Also, please drive slowly once you turn onto Narrows Road as foraging deer are often on the road.

Directions From the North (Earls Cove)

Once off the Ferry, keep going South along highway 101 for about 20 minutes and turn right on Narrows Road, then left onto Westjac Road (if you come to the Sunshine Coast Resort or the Grasshopper Pub, both on your right, you’ve gone just a little bit too far).
